At TheGrandExchange.com, I teach teenagers how to play on the popular game Runescape.  The idea of trading in this environment is very engaging partly because of the simplicity of the trading but also because of the implications when a teenager gets it right - they enjoy the game more.

The purpose of this site is not to just give teenagers a few cheats or get-rich quick tips.  Even if there were a glitch in the trading system, I'm not looking to teach those things.  My goal is to teach solid financial principles to serve any teenager or adult alike for many years to come.

My personal achievements include a happy, balanced family that gets on well together, educational achievements such as a computer science degree, MBA and training certificates.  I also train in martial arts, having a black-belt in karate and a red-belt in a combat-style as well.  I have raced go karts and also hold a pilot's licence.  In business we have been involved in the stock market for many years, retailed products and been in property development.

We encourage our three children to be entreprenurial and to use computer technology widely.  We have 5 computers in our lounge room and encourage adults to stay involved in their own childrens online activities, in particular underestand what games they are playing and the nature of the people they come in contact with.  I encourage my children to interact with each other in game play.  For both safety and socialisation, use of computers in isolated areas such as bedrooms is not allowed.  We also have time limits imposed on our children in terms of computer usage.

I am trading with some teens copies of my e-book in exchange for services such as book review, technical help with the web site, graphics and so on.  This is designed to encourage the teenagers to take their first steps in negotiation and to use the skills they already posess to make money.  In the EBook 'Game Play: How To Merch And Make Millions' I tell them that to make money, the first step is to do work by developing a skill.  An astute child should be able to draw experiences from the book and reapply it to a certain extent in real life.
