Player Vs Player has had significant demand for all combat items such as rune scimmy's, arrows, runes etc increasing dramatically in price.  For the short term at least, people are not skilling as much but swapping to PVP!

The word Advitica is a word that I created from latin roots, 'Ad' meaning to increase 'vitica' meaning wealth or prosperity. (That was random!) Anyway, logon and use the clan chat  - please keep it trading related!

Runescape has tightened its trading rules in relation to merchanting armour.  Initial reports said that rune scimmys were limited 10 per 4 hours.  I have found this to be false as I have subsequently traded 100 rune scimmy's in an 8 hour period, suggesting the limit is 50 every 4 hours.  So for people with less than 8M GP who are following my strategies and not putting more than 20% of their trading cash into a single trade, this limitation will have no effect on their trading whatsoever.   Traders with more than 8M GP will typically trade more expensive items within their portfolios so the effect on them also will be minimal.

Many items on Runescape are falling in value dramatically, particularly the price of glories after being quite stable all year.  Amulets of glory are now technical trades, if you trade them then follow a technical signal

Making money in Runescape has never been easier. 

Every Day I'm getting reports of more people who have become millionaires by using my system of trading.  I also have consistent reports of people making in excess of 10M and by doing very little work.    Remember to have a trading plan and to stick to it!  All trading involves risk so start off by trading small volumes that you could afford to lose if they go the wrong way.

Around 90-95% of the people who responded to my survey question asked for videos on fundamental trading.  So two videos will go up on YouTube and this site in the next 24 hours.

I'm working on a Runescape trade tips system and there is much more in the pipeline.

In this video I discuss the idea of technical trading.  That is, the use of graphs or charts to determine a buy or sell.  Personally I dont use technical trading alone but also try and apply common sense principles.  In addition, I set maximum profit targets as well so I am prepared to sell if I make (say) 400% on a skyrocketing item.

The other day I bought 100k of blood runes.  I think I may have paid a bit too much for them or there is not that much demand in the market for that quantity.  Anyway, I decided that I would use some of them to level up my mage.  This is the thing, when you are making a good passive income from trading then you can always afford to use the best runes and the best equipment and therefore level up much faster.    Thats more fun and less work! You can do it too.

I recently received an email from someone saying that you can't make money any more from trading iron ore.

Well it just so happened that I went in to the market a few days ago and traded a STACK of iron ore.

Right now I am working on a video diary of all of my trades.  Currently it is up to 1 hour and I guess by the time it gets to 90 minutes I had better publish it.  This video will reveal my best trading secrets.  So what's it worth to you?  Do you also want it delivered as a DVD?  I'm just in planning phase right now...

On the weekend I went to a seminar on wealth creation strategies (all ages).  I was looking for strategies that teenagers could use to make money by trading real-world markets, part time and while attending school.   Firstly I ruled out the stock market but I wanted to see if there was a market where one buys an item low then sells high (ie arbitrage) - EXACTLY the core skill that I use to make money on Runescape.

The other day I looked on a few web sites to see how much a junior makes at a fast food place and it varies from about $6.00 to $11.00 per hour. Can you see yourself working for four hours a week to earn from $24.00 to $44.00? Don't get me wrong - I admire teens who take the initiative to do this and it is good to learn to serve people but how can you earn more money over time without taking up too much school time or social life?

I saw a sytem for making money on EBay presented by Matt and Amanda. (Yes that's an advertisement for their system on the right hand side). This system has got me fired up, because basically people of almost any age can do it.  If you are interested to find out more then click here.?

I had a quick chat to Matt after the presentation and I told him that I have some teenagers who are good traders and to see what we could do for you. I dont know if this system is for you but I think it's worth checking out Matt and Amanda's system.

There was an example of a 14 year old boy making $500 a week, by arbitraging on E-bay.

There were other strategies too (not being arbitrage).  A 17 year old girl bought a caravan for a couple of thousand then rented it out for ten thousand a year.  Sorry - a bit vauge on the details.  Bottom line is that her part time business is doing very nicely thanks very much.  I'm not going to promote real-estate strategies at this time but let me know if it sounds like something you might want to do.

I'm really looking for ethical strategies that only take 4-5 hours a week and make a few hundred bucks that anyone 13 or over can do.  (So with the right system, Ebay looks like a great place to start.)  Anyone under 18 will need consent from their parents of course.    I will get a survey page up in the next two weeks, to find out what you want.  Maybe you're not interested at all?

I was just chatting via email to someone today using my buy and sell (arbitrage) system.  He had over-committed himself a little by putting all of his money into a single trade.  In this case, it worked out for him and he made 2.8M GP in 48 hours.  While it worked in this instance, I strongly suggest that you should diversify over 4-6 different items if you are a member and at least 2 if you are Free-To-Play.  For Free To Play I also suggest that you keep at least half your money or trading items in the bank at any time (since there are only 2 trading spots available to you).

I had someone say the other day 'Glen this doesnt work'  in relation to buying and selling glories so in the past 24 hours I went into the market and bought 300 glories and sold 183 of them with a profit of 1800 each.    Thats a profit of 329k, or about 2.1M GP a week.  Of course I would not stick all of my cash into a single item but spread it out over 6 different items.

Some People trade popular consumable items like nature runes, death runes, arrows etc.

I have not had much success buying natures at a low enough price. I have, however been able to buy 150k iron ore at 78 GP an then resell at 82-84GP.  Still it can take up to a week before I have sold all of the stock so I dont really suggest that you start off trying to make money in runescape using this strategy.   

I am usually looking for a 5% margin on my trades, to fill the buy order in 12 hours and then to sell within the next 12 hours.  So my goal is to make 5% a day or to double my money every 20 days.?

Since February 10th this year I have now gone from 10M GP to 50M GP by trading for about 10 minutes a day.  Plently of people do make more money than me each week.  Somoene was telling me that they make 10MGP per week.  The difference with my strategy is that most of my time is spent playing the game, not making money to play the game with.

So that's an extra 40M GP and I guess that averages out to about 6M - 7M gp a week.  Remember the beginning of the year I started with 60k.

I have had more feedback from members of this site.  Some have made 3M GP on runescape by following this buy and sell strategy.  I have noticed that an error has been coming up on the login page every now and then.  The system sends me an email of the error but I dont know whats causing it so if it happens to you, would you mind sending me an email so I can fix the bug.

I'm getting some questions about trading on Runescape.  Some people are actually losing money on the Grand Exchange in Runescape. 

Firstly, you may have paid too much but it's not always your fault.  Prices in Runescape change all the time, just as they do in real world trading.  Here are some important tips to follow:

1) Never put all of your money into a single trade, no matter how confident you are in its success.

2) Trade 4 or 5 unrelated items. I know that this is difficult for Free To Play because there are only 2 slots available for trading

3) When starting it's better if you can avoid buying single items with your allocated money.  Better to have 50 or 100 items at 1/50th or 1/100th of the price than a single expensive item.  That's because you can try reducing your price on part of the stock.

4) Work out your profit and maximum allowable loss before entering into a trade.  Runescape limits the buy/sell window to +/- 5% of the median price (ie a 10% trading range).  Try buying a little above the minimum price and selling a little above the median (average) price.

Decide at what price you will sell at if the item value falls, before entering the trade.  If the average price falls below this - be ruthless and sell!

5) Never risk money in buying and selling that you cant afford to lose.  So make sure that you have one strong skill that you can use to make more money.

6) If you trade 5 or 6 times and keep losing, then stop trading!  Think carefully about why it's not working.  Get advice!  Ask for help.

7) Test your trading strategy with lower quantities before ramping it up!

Dont give up!  Find out for yourself if you are trading emotionally or if you are following a system.  The art of trading is a skill that you can take away from the game and apply it to almost any real-world market.  So master this skill now and it should serve you well in future!

Let me see it was only a month ago when I had made 10M GP.  In the past month I have made an additional 20MGp by spending 10-15 minutes a day, using the trading strategies shown on this site (now totalling just over 30M GP).

Prices have come down since I recorded the videos, so please be careful on your buy prices.  Don't just copy the buy prices on the video and expect it to work. 

On the membership side, I am just about to purchase some membership software so this will let the people who have registered on the mailing list view the other videos not published on YouTube.  Entry level membership will be free.

I'm easily making 1.4M GP a week using The Grand Exchange and I know some of you on my mailing list are making at least 2-3 times that without much effort at all. I spend about 15 minutes a day trading.  That's it.  I keep split testing, checking prices and moving on if items aren't selling.  I try and avoid getting emotionally attached to a particular item.

 The new autoresponder is in place and the first message I sent to myself came back as 'Could not deliver, this appears to be spam.'  Hahaha   I think there is a bit more to it than I thought.

I am working on the members area next.  Just trying to finalize which database to use (MySQL or MS SQL Server).  Probably a week or two away.

Someone asked me the other day in Runescape "Isn't share trading risky?".

I had forgotten how people perceive risk and reward.  I believe that a person is risky, more so than the instrument that they trade.  A person who trades beyond what he or she can reasonably afford to lose is a risky person.  A person who risks all of their money into a single trade is also risky.

So let's look at the real world markets for a minute.  There are some companies that don't make any money at all.  These companies are risky because they are not making a profit.    It takes a great deal of care to trade these stocks so let's put them to the side.  Let's say there is a major company on the stock market that sells a commodity that is consumed by people every day.  Two that come to mind straight away are beer and gasoline (petrol).  People drink beer all the time.  Buying shares in a beer company is not very risky because of a number of factors but mainly the beer market is not going to go away any time soon.    Similar for gasoline.  Even though the price changes day to day, people will continue to consume fuel products.  That's not to say that you can't lose money trading these shares but it isnt that riskybecause in the long run these companies will be around.  I bought Caltex shares about 6 months ago, for example,  and the price is down by at least 30% from where I bought but they still pay a good dividend.  So in the long run I expect them to gain in value and in the meantime I still make income from them but if I were to sell tomorrow I would make a loss.

Trading on the sharemarket we set up acceptable buy and sell prices, so let me just go and find a trade right now.

Ok this is a USA stock that mass - markets drugs and the trading software I use is suggesting that I buy at $90 and I would sell at $110.    It doesnt always work out so I would also have a maximum acceptable loss at say $80.  So if it drops to $80, an automatic sell happens. I would do some more research on the company before investing in it, so I am just using this as an example. 

Just like in Runescape I have discovered the prices that people will buy and sell at, I find that there is often a range that people will buy and sell at. 

Personally I prefer to stick to the really big companies, in particular banks, major mining, some real-estate trusts and companies that produce mass-marketed consumable items.

Regardless of the market, avoid the temptation to put all of your finances into a single trade as this is a risky thing to do.

For people on the newsletter, here is another video: How to buy and sell rune scimitars.  This one is good for Free-To-Play players, because they can trade this item.  Remember that trades can take 24 hours to complete so don't sit there watching the trade and waiting for it to happen!  Develop your skill of patience, as it can make you more money than impatience!

Lets face it.  In the game you need money to buy things, whether it is to buy weapons or runes, arrows or to get a skill up.  The fastest way to get what you want is for you to give others what they are impatient for.  When an opposing player is impatient to sell then they will sell below fair value and when an opposing player is impatient to buy they will buy above the fair value price.    You are providing a service by buying and selling items, making it easier for everyone to get what they want when they want it.    It is good to have a skill that you are good at because if you have a high level of skill it is relatively easy to make some money with that skill to top up your trading, at least intially.  It is not as useful to try and be good at everything because generally you cannot make alot of money with a whole stack of average skills.

After I had been trading for a few weeks, I started making around 140k GP per day.  So I was spending about half that on herbs and re-investing the rest in trading.  This meant that I was able to increase my trading amount and enjoy playing the game.  Because I had plenty of cash, it was easier for me to level up in herblore because the more advanced potions give more XP when I made them and I could afford to make them and sell them at a loss.

In the real world I also trade shares and options but instead of half my money going into trading, only 10% goes in.  When I get a share dividend I spend it but trading profits / losses stay in the trading account.  I see the same principals in trading Runescape as trading the stock market, so I think trading and merchanting gives you real world XP.

Here it is - The video on how I started with 1M and made 10Million GP over the past 15 days. 30 days I only started with 60k but did a bit of work and a bit of trading.

I just picked these video bits out of my bin clip, so if you watch the video carefully can you see the mistake?  Doesn't matter.  The point is I was able to make a stack of cash by buying and selling iron ore with about 5% difference in price.

That's the lesson for today. lol.

Ok, so you are making money from doing some work.  In the example I gave, I was mining iron ore and selling iron bars for profit.  I did my numbers before I started to make sure that there was money in it.  There are many things in Runescape that will lose you money.  Mining gold will give you gold ore worth about 500GP but if you smelt it into a gold bar it's then worth 250GP.  Find something that gives you both XP (Experience) and GP (Gold Pieces).

I was buying more iron ore than I needed at below the market price, smelting the ore into iron bars and selling the remaining iron ore at above market price.  Now I had 2 ways of making money.   The first was by working and the second was by trading at the same time.  If I made a bad trade, it wasnt the end of the world because I could do some more work to replace it.

I didnt wait until I had a large amount of money before I started to trade.  Instead I decided how much money I would set aside to trade with and how much was left over to spend (I have been getting my herblore XP up so I have used about half of trading profits on that).  If I spent all of my trading profits on things like armour and weapons then I would still have to work for GP.  Similarly if I put all of my trading profits into trading then I would miss out on the majority of the game play.

In this short video I will show you how to make some GP fast on Runescape.

This strategy works better for members because a member can wear a ring of forging and not lose every second bar when smelting iron ore into iron bars.

This strategy makes about 3k per load of iron ore for members or 1.5k for non-members.  Once you have about 60k it will time for you to try out a pure trading strategy.

DONT Spend all the money that you make from your work straight away or you will always be poor.  Put some of the money you make aside so that it can work for you making more money even when you are not online!

 Before the Grand Exchange I would spend hours in Falador Garden world 2 advertising my offers to a whole host of merchants like myself, all going for the same thing ... money!So with merchants on every square inch of world 2 it was known for most people to spend up to an hour trying to buy even an Obsidian Cape as merchants quickly bought the dim-witted newbie’s items for a lower (sometimes higher) price.

Now I find that buying my materials is no longer a skill for the

speedy typist, but more so just a few minutes placing an offer in The Grand Exchange.

Finally, a fun way to teach children the art of trading!

My wife and I have been involved in real-estate, shares and business for years.  I have tried to teach my 12 year old daughter about share trading and she has been somewhat dis-interested but when I started making a stack of gold pieces in the game called 'Runescape' she became very interested in how I was making money almost effortlessly.

Runescape is not a trading game.  It's an adventure game, where any time of the day or night there are a hundred thousand players or more playing.  Even if you have never heard of this game, chances are your children have either heard of it or played it themselves already.  Children pass the word virally.  They get their friends to come and play with them for free. 

In runescape you get to develop specific skills such as fighting skills, hunting, cooking, mining, smithing and so on.  Players buy things with the gold pieces (GP) and use their skills to make things for other players.

In the game there is a trading arena called the 'Grand Exchange'  it is an automated trading system that allows players to trade, much like the stock market but with trading of product rather than shares.

The purpose of this site is to teach children (and perhaps adults!) the art of trading, how to resist the urge to sell and the urge to buy at any price and to identify deals that make sense.  My 8 year old son has just bought and sold his first 'amulet of glory' and made 2k GP and he is keen to make more.  My daughter now pulls up a spreadsheet and works out what to make, buy or sell.

Some of the concepts I will be covering are how to buy low and sell high, diversification - dont put all your money into a single trade.

Hopefully I will help create a few more Runescape millionaires!
